Jerry Balloch is a commercial photographer currently based in Dubai. He hates referring to himself in the third person but is going to give it a go here. That's him on the left there shot by his brother Rorie this summer. He's a mac guy, shoots a Nikon D3 and a few random film cameras, is addicted to coffee and is often known to sport a beard.

As you can see from his work Jerry splits his time between still life and active life assignments. He loves still life, he loves studio work and the challenges it brings, but sometimes he just needs to feel the wind in his hair. Take a look at his picture and you'll see just how tricky that can be. That's why you'll often find him lying in the sand as a motocross bike flies overhead or floating out at sea snapping turtles being released. He is also a frustrated musician, wishes he could be like his friends and play for a living, but has to settle for shooting the occasional gig or promo to get his fix. What you see here is a mixture of his commercial and personal work.
